THE ROLE OF THE JUNCTION DOCTOR

I'm Jocelyn, one of the Doctors at The Junction. I'm probably the oldest person in The Junction team and I've definitely been working here the longest (actually since 1988 when The Junction first opened).

I have a husband, 2 kids, and 2 dogs. I'm open to discussing anything.

You can come and talk to one of the Junction Doctors about any physical and emotional health problems, from a common cold, any drug and alcohol concerns to complex psychiatric issues. If we don’t have the answers we can refer you to an appropriate specialist. We can organise tests, write prescriptions and medical certificates if necessary. The Junction Doctors are especially interested in diagnosing and treating STI's (Sexually Transmitted Infections) and informing people about their options for contraception and sexual health care. We can often reassure you that something you have been really worried about is normal or can be treated in some way. We know that problems with family, education, friends and finances can adversely affect a person’s health and well-being. So please come in and tell us about your issues and worries and we’ll try to help.
