MAKING AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE A
DOCTOR
Firstly there are 2
available appointment times you can pre-book up to 7 days in
advance to see a Doctor;
Appointment No.1 is
between 1.00 - 1.30pm
Appointment No.2 is
between 1.30 -2.00pm
These appointments can
be can be made by contacting the Junction after 10am Monday to
Friday.
From 1pm to 5pm we run
a drop-in centre... which means people can drop in and put down
their name for the first 'available appointment' for that day. There
are usually five or six appointments available; priority goes to
whoever arrived first when the doors open at 12.45pm.
This system relies on
your honour. If there are any appointments left that day, we can
take your name over the phone and give you an appointment that
afternoon.
MAKING AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE A
NURSE
You can drop in or book
an appointment with a Youth Health Nurse between 1-5pm and the
Sexual Health Nurse Practitioner between 1.30 - 4.30pm. If
your need requires, these appointments can be booked in advance; in
person at the Junction or over the phone after 10am Monday to
Friday.
MAKING AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE A
COUNSELLOR
You can book an
appointment with a Counsellor any time between 9am and 5pm. These
appointments can be booked in advance; in person at the Junction or
over the phone after 10am Monday - Friday.
CONFIDENTIALITY
The Junction offers a completely confidential health
service to young people. What this means is that under normal
circumstance we will not release any information about you to any other service or person without
your permission. In
certain instances we are required by law to release information even if you do
not give consent. If we feel you are at risk of harm from others, or
at risk of harming yourself or someone else we may be required to inform
relevant services/authorities. This is always carried with your health and wellbeing
the priority and where possible you are informed of our
decisions and the reasons for them.

The Junction Youth
Health Service is open from 12.45pm - 5pm Monday to Friday.
Depending on staff availability, the phones will be answered from
10am Monday to Friday
